Today, it hosts a panoramic trail that runs all around the promontory: easy to walk and full of breathtaking views.
A must-do stop for those who love to be active outdoors. The route starts from Viticcio and runs along the sea to the beaches of Forno, Scaglieri, and the well-known Biodola. The walk is immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, amidst the scent of pine trees and mastic.
Just 4 km from the hotel is Portoferraio, the island's main town. Here you can breathe in an irresistible mix of history, culture, and local life. The Medicean ramparts erected by the will of Cosimo I de' Medici have dominated the city since 1548, while the nineteenth-century traces of Napoleon's passage make every corner unique.
