Hotel Paradiso adheres to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas (ECST), a methodological and certification tool promoted by the EUROPARC Federation and coordinated in Italy by Federparchi. The Charter is based on collaboration between protected area authorities, tourism businesses, and local communities, with the goal of developing a tourism management model that protects natural and cultural resources, reduces environmental impacts, and generates tangible benefits for residents, businesses, and visitors.
Choosing a ECST-certified accommodation means relying on an organization that has voluntarily made documented and verified commitments to ensure high standards of environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
Our Commitment
In line with the principles of the ECST, Hotel Paradiso is committed to:
• Institutional collaboration: actively participating in governance initiatives with the Park Authority and other local stakeholders.
• Information and awareness: providing guests with materials, activities, and guidance to discover the Tuscan Archipelago National Park and the UNESCO MAB Biosphere Reserve “Tuscan Islands.”
• Quality and responsibility: aligning our tourism offer with environmental and cultural responsibility, promoting experiences that respect and protect the territory.
• Environmental management: implementing measures for energy and water savings, waste reduction, responsible sourcing, and monitoring of the hotel’s environmental performance.
• Stakeholder engagement: encouraging the active participation of guests, staff, and local partners in sustainable practices.
• Promotion of the local economy: supporting the use of local products and services, helping preserve traditions and foster the island’s social and economic development.
